Don’t raise the rents says child care coalition

The Coalition of Child Care Advocates of BC is urging B.C.’s education minister, Margaret MacDiarmid, against raising child care rents in board of education-leased spaces.

Such a move is being proposed in Vancouver to generate $1.5 million.The coalition warms programs will close if rent hikes happen. The CCCABC has written the minister to outline its concerns.
