Another opportunity for communities to continue the forestry dialogue

Healthy Forests, Healthy Communities Initiative seeking community input on forestry issues
Another initiative aimed at getting BC communities talking about their forests is getting underway. A group of volunteers has organized community meetings to discuss forest issues in a number of BC communities this month. These open community meetings are an additional opportunity for local residents to connect and to voice their concerns about BC's forests.
BCGEU members are encouraged to attend, and add your perspective to the discussion. Here's the list of upcoming events:
- June 20 - Williams Lake; 7:00-9:00pm, City Hall Council Chambers
- June 21 - 100 Mile House; 7:00-9:00pm, Valley Room, The Lodge
- June 21 - Grand Forks; 1:00-4:00pm, Community Futures Office
- June 21 - Midway; 6:30-9:00pm, Community Hall
- June 22 - Squamish; 6:00-9:00pm, Howe Sound Brew Pub
- June 23 - Vancouver; 7:00-9:00pm, Room 1005, Forestry Sciences Centre, UBC, 2424 Main Mall
