BCGEU and Vancouver daycare provider reach collective agreement

A new collective agreement has been reached between the BCGEU and the McGregor Childcare Society in Vancouver.

The deal includes:

-a wage increase of 2% in 2010, 1.75% in 2011, 1.75% in 2012 and 1.75% in 2013.
-yearly RSP increases through 2012.
-increase to vehicle allowance.
-increase to vision care from $200 to $300.
-new overtime, meal break and harassment language.

The three-year agreement, which has been ratified, affects 15 BCGEU members.
