BCGEU hosts special evening forum with B.C.'s Representative for Children and Youth

The BCGEU is hosting a special evening forum with B.C.'s Representative for Children and Youth, Mary Ellen Turpel-Lafond:

It is important that the Representative hear from local frontline workers at your worksites. Is the impact of child poverty issues on service delivery for children and youth affecting your organization? How is the economic downturn affecting vulnerable children and youth in this region?

Ms Turpel-Lafond has been raising the profile of the child poverty issue in B.C. and is encouraging government to improve the lives of children and families at risk during these difficult economic times. Please come and share your insights.
