BCGEU president Darryl Walker calls for homeless shelter funding

BCGEU president Darryl Walker is urging B.C. Housing Minister Rich Coleman to find the funding to keep three year-round shelters in Vancouver open. The shelters are slated for closure at the end of April. Walker is also encouraging community organizations to join the fight by contacting Coleman.

"It is shameful that in a province as rich in resources as British Columbia, we can't find the money to provide safe places to sleep for hundreds of homeless people in Vancouver," Walker said.
