CLC and BC Fed host community forum on pension security

More than half of working Canadians have no workplace pension, and most have little in private retirement savings. The pensions of millions of Canadians have been put at risk by the financial meltdown and a wave of employer bankruptcies.

Even those with jobs are wondering when they can ever retire. For many Canadians secure retirement is not a guarantee.

Next Thursday, November 5th, the Canadian Labour Congress and the BC Federation of Labour will be hosting a community forum to discuss the uncertain state of the pension system in Canada. This forum is part of the CLC's larger campaign to address income security in Canada.

Thursday, 5 November 2009, 7:00 - 8:30 pm

Justice Institute, 715 McBride Blvd.,
New Westminster, BC
