Earth Hour is March 27

Earth Hour 2010 takes place Saturday March 27, 2010 at 8:30pm (Pacific time). Last year, millions of people in 88 countries participated in the event. It was the world's largest global climate change initiative.

Earth Hour 2010 is hoping to reach out to one billion people. The campaign asks you to switch off your power for one hour to pledge support for the planet.

Earth Hour asks that you turn off only non-essential lighting. You don't have to turn off your refrigerator. Safety and security lighting should also remain on. Turn out your lights, or just reduce the amount of lights and appliances in use in your home or office for an hour. It all adds up.

Earth Hour is a call to stand up, take responsibility, get involved and lead the way towards a sustainable future. Iconic buildings and landmarks from Europe to Asia to the Americas will stand in darkness. People across the world from all walks of life will turn off their lights and join together in celebration of our planet.
