Four hundred BCGEU members at ISM Canada ratify new agreement
Four hundred BCGEU members who work for Information Systems Management Canada - known as ISM Canada - have approved a new, three–year collective agreement by a very strong vote in favour.
ISM provides information technology services to public and private sector organizations including the BC Government and various BC Health Authorities. ISM Canada is a wholly owned subsidiary of IBM Canada and a member of IBM Global Services.
There are approximately 400 ISM employees that are members of BCGEU Component 6. They are located in various communities across British Columbia.
Highlights of the new three year collective agreement include:
- 3% wage increase, per year for 3 years;
- Improved paramedical coverage;
- Improved shift and weekend work premiums;
- Extension of extended medical package to members working past the age of 65, to age 70;
- Improvements to non-monetary contract language.
The new agreement expires on December 31, 2014.
