‘LPNs are not for sale': BCGEU president

President astonished by BCNU offer to buy LPN memberships for raiding campaign

The BCGEU has rejected an offer by the BC Nurses Union (BCNU) to compensate the BCGEU for the raid on BCGEU Licensed Practical Nurses.

BCGEU president Darryl Walker expressed shock that the BCNU would offer to buy our members.

"We have no interest in your offer of compensation to the BCGEU for those LPNs you seek to raid from us," Walker wrote in a letter to BCNU president Debra McPherson. "Our members are not chattels to be brokered or paid for in a hostile takeover bid."
