BCGEU PROVINCIAL EXECUTIVE

The Provincial Executive is the governing body of the union between conventions. It sets the policies and goals and supervises the day-to-day affairs of the union.


The Provincial Executive consists of: The President, four Provincial Vice-Presidents (two women, two men) and the Treasurer, elected by and from the delegates to convention; Component Chairpersons, elected from the members of the components' executives, plus an additional representative for components with more than 7,500 members. As a result of this formula, the union's Provincial Executive fairly represents the union as a whole. The Table Officers represent the entire union membership and the Component Chairpersons represent the interests of each occupational group.
