Warning Saskatchewan about the perils of highway privatization

(Regina, 28 October 2010): Operational Services Component Chair Mike Nuyens spoke at the Saskatchewan Federation of Labour Convention to warn union members about the costs of highway maintenance privatization in that province. BC's experience shows privatization leads to declining maintenance standards for the travelling public, increased costs for taxpayers, and declining work standards for employees, he said.
