Collective Bargaining 101 - BC Public Sector and Sectoral Agreements

Approximately 55,000 BCGEU members, over 80% of the union, will be in bargaining in 2012.

The bargaining process for each of these agreements varies but there are similarities.

To help members better understand how an idea that starts in your workplace ends up in your collective agreement, we’ve created a video. 

Although this video covers the general process for public sector and sectoral bargaining, the basic principles of democracy and the negotiations process are the same for all BCGEU members engaged in bargaining.
