Where:     The Dover Room at Nanaimo Seniors Village

Members are strongly encouraged to attend a Bargaining Committee election meeting in the Dover Room at Nanaimo Seniors Village on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, between the hours of 11am-2pm. Complimentary pizza and refreshments will be provided for all of those who attend.

This will be your opportunity to have a say in who will represent the collective interests of members at upcoming collective agreement negotiations with your Employer. Three positions are available, and any member in good standing can serve on the Committee.

Bargaining surveys will also be distributed at the meeting. Fill one out and have a say in what you would like to see in your new collective agreement.

Local 402 Chair Salli Rye, servicing Staff Representative Doreen Smith, as well as Staff Negotiator Chad McQuarrie will be in attendance to answer any questions or concerns.

Elect your Bargaining Committee

There are three (3) positions for the BCGEU Bargaining Committee available. Nominate who you think would be your best representatives for bargaining, or, if you are interested in serving on the Committee, have a co-worker nominate you. Please ensure the attached nomination form is signed by both the nominee and the nominator, and submitted by the deadline noted below. If there are more nominees than positions, then an election will be held.

Fill out Your Bargaining Survey – We Want to Hear From You!

This is your opportunity to have a say in the terms and conditions in your collective agreement. It is really important that every BCGEU member fill out the attached bargaining survey because this allows your Bargaining Committee to develop its bargaining priorities. Please take the time to fill out the survey, so the Bargaining Committee knows what is most important to you.

Bargaining Committee Nomination Forms must be received by:  Thursday July 21, 2016 at 5 pm
Bargaining Surveys must be received by:  Monday August 1, 2016 at 5 pm
