Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen bargaining update

Your Bargaining Committee has met on  November 23, 2011 and January 17, 2012 to prepare for bargaining.  We then met with the Employer on January 23, 24, 25, 2012, January 27, 2012 and February 6, 2012.

There have agreed on several non-monetary articles to date.  The Committee can report that bargaining has been productive and both parties are committed to securing a collective agreement in a timely manner.

Our next scheduled date for bargaining with the Employer is February 22, 2012.  We will be tabling the last of our proposals, which include our monetary package. 

Your Committee has worked very hard on behalf of the membership at RDOS and we are representing your needs as identified by the bargaining survey effectively.
