Call for nominations for Local 403 executives

The Union is accepting nominations for the following positions:

• Chairperson  –  one (1) position
• First Vice-Chair  –  one (1) position
• Second Vice-Chair  –  one (1) position
• Treasurer  –  one (1) position
• Recording Secretary  –  one (1) position
• Member-at-Large  -  four (4) positions
• Member-at-Large (Young Worker)  –  one (1) position [29 years of age or younger]. Every member of Local 403 age 29 years or younger is eligible to be nominated for the position of Member at-Large (Young Worker).

Nominations for these positions can be made by completing the enclosed nomination form and returning it by mail to the Lower Mainland Area Office at 4925 Canada Way, Burnaby, BC V5G 1M1 in the enclosed self addressed stamped envelope, or by fax to 604-215-1410 not later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2012.  Be sure to indicate clearly on the nomination form which position you are nominating for.  If more than one nomination is received for these positions, the Union will conduct an election.

Candidates have the right to submit a biography/campaign platform (not to exceed 250 words) which will be published in the event of a ballot and must be submitted within one (1) day of the close of nominations.
