UBC Child Care Services ongoing negotiations

Your Bargaining Committee met with the Employer's representatives on February 13, 2012. We shared reflections from our membership meeting on January 4th, 2012  and the themes which had emerged in terms of feedback from members. We also submitted proposals which were related to issues already on the table during previous negotiations, but had been modified to represent the themes and feedback referenced above. We feel we have made progress, and continue to be confident we will be able to reach agreement with the Employer. 

We will next be meeting with the Employer on February 27th, 2012. Further updates will be forthcoming after that date.  If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact any member of your Bargaining Committee.
