Provincial Bargaining Update - Key negotiations resume this week

The BCGEU and the Road Builders Association will return to the bargaining table this week. Talks will resume on Wednesday in Burnaby and are scheduled to continue through to Sunday.

These negotiations are being carried out under the protocol established at the first round of talks. This protocol established a provincial table to discuss major issues common to all service areas in the province. The protocol also established local tables to discuss other issues.

Both the provincial agreement and local agreements will be subject to a single ratification vote by members in each service area.

Dates for local negotiations are being set for late February through to mid-March.
