Legal Services Society tentative agreement reached

Your Bargaining Committee and the Employer were able to successfully negotiate a tentative Collective Agreement with your Employer.

 
Highlights of the agreement include:
 
  • Sick Leave Plan – Article 17.1 – Accumulated Sick Leave is capped at 180 days. Current Employees will be grandfathered;
  • Meal Allowances – Article 26.10
    • Breakfast $11.75 ($11.50), Lunch $13.50 ($13.25), Dinner $22.75 ($22.25);
  • Vehicle Allowances – Article 26.9 $0.52 per km ($0.50);
  • Compassionate Care Leave – Article 18.11 – Under Employment Insurance rules;
  • Family Day - New;
  • Extended Health Care – Physiotherapy capped at $2,000; and
  • Wages – Retroactive to April 1, 2012
    • April 1, 2012 2%
    • April 1, 2013 2%
    • April 1, 2014 2%.

The information session and ratification voting will take place Friday, February 14th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the LSS Boardroom.
