Steward elections this fall

Across the BCGEU, elections will be held this fall to fill steward positions in the union.  All members are encouraged to consider running for office.

Stewards are the workplace leaders of the union providing advice, and support to members, resolving issues and making sure the collective agreement is respected in the workplace.

Many stewards will be running for re-election but there are always opportunities for new members to participate in the union by becoming a steward. Training is provided for all new stewards and advanced steward courses are held periodically in each area for experienced stewards.    

Elections are to be completed by the end of November. Watch for notices regarding elections for your workplace and local and consider becoming a workplace leader.
