Kwantlen University Student Association bargaining update

Your Bargaining Committee met with the Employer at the Labour Relations Board on October 6th and 20th.  These dates were two of the seven dates agreed to as a settlement to resolve the issues raised in our application to the Board.

Some basic collective agreement language issues have been agreed, with many issues remaining outstanding.

We are now entering mediation under Section 74 of the Labour Code.  Our first dates for mediation are October 31st and November 3rd.  Your committee is optimistic that mediation will provide the opportunity needed to move forward on all outstanding issues.

The freeze on changes to working conditions remains in effect until November 30th.
