Provincial Bargaining Update - Highways Maintenance Members

The Roadbuilders Association and the BCGEU have agreed to meet at a provincial table to discuss major issues common to all service areas (e.g. wages and term). These talks will begin in Vancouver on Thursday January 26.

Other issues will be negotiated at local tables. No dates have been set for these negotiations.

Our intention is to engage these employers at a provincial table, hammer out an agreement if possible, as soon as we can. We would then move to local bargaining tables to negotiate local agreements. 

Both the provincial agreement and local agreements will be subject to ratification in each contract area.
