Local 1204 election nomination and meeting notice

AGENDA
Nominations are now open for all Local 1204 Executive positions as follows:

• Chairperson
• 1st Vice Chairperson
• 2nd Vice Chairperson
• Treasurer
• Recording Secretary
• Member-at-Large (Four positions including one young worker representative. Young workers are defined as 29 years or younger at close of nominations.)

Nomination forms must be received at the Fraser Valley Area Office no later than 5:00 p.m., February 28, 2012 (by fax at 604-882-5032 or toll free at 1-800-946-0249). In an effort to use less paper and be more earth friendly, only one nomination form is attached to this notice. Please make any necessary copies and ensure you clearly mark which position you are being nominated for. Nominations will also be taken off the floor at the meeting. Nominations will be confirmed at this meeting and all nominees are encouraged to attend to accept their nomination. If unable to attend, written acceptance must be received at the Area Office by 5:00 p.m., February 28, 2012.

If more than one nomination is received for a position, an election will be conducted. Candidates have the right to submit a biography (not to exceed 250 words) which will be distributed to the membership in the event of an election and must be submitted within one (1) day of close of nominations.
