Local 1003 - election of local executive positions

Members of Local 1003 are advised that nominations are now open for elections of the following positions:

•   Chairperson - 1 position
•   1st Vice-Chairperson - 1 position
•   2nd Vice-Chairperson - 1 position
•   Secretary-Treasurer  - 1 position
•   Recording Secretary - 1 position
•   Member-at-Large -  2 positions

Every member of Local 1003 is eligible to be nominated for these positions. Nominations can be made by completing the nomination form and returning it by mail to the Lower Mainland Area Office in the enclosed return envelope or by facsimile to 604-215-1410: Attention: Selena Kongpreecha. Nominations must be received by no later than 5 PM on February 20, 2012.

If more than the required number of nominations are received for the available positions, the Union will conduct an election. Candidates should include a 250-word biography with their nomination. This will only be published in the event of an election.

Enclosed is a copy of Appendix C – Local Executive – Duties of the Table Officers from the 1003 Local Bylaws and a nomination form.
