BCGEU STAFF
The Provincial Executive determines the number of employees needed to carry out the union's affairs.
The President hires the necessary staff.
The staff then provides the technical and administrative expertise to assist elected officers in the performance of their duties. Servicing staff are given their day-to-day assignments by the President through the Directors and Coordinators.
There are staff assigned to research, communications, education, organizing, bargaining, grievances, employment equity, benefits, Workers' Compensation appeals, classifications, and to service the membership in the union's areas through area offices in Victoria, Courtenay, Vancouver, Langley, Kamloops, Williams Lake, Kelowna, Cranbrook, Nelson, Fort St. John, Prince George and Terrace.
In addition, the Union employs secretarial and support staff both in area offices and at union headquarters.
