Your Bargaining Committee is pleased to advise that a ratification meeting has been scheduled for May 3, 2016, from 2:00 – 3:00 pm  at the Nanaimo Harbour Front branch in the upstairs meeting room. This is your chance to fully review changes and improvements to your Collective Agreement, ask questions of the committee and if you choose, vote. 

Your employer has agreed  that those working near this branch can travel without loss of pay to attend the meeting in person. The Employer will not however be responsible for any mileage costs or overtime if a member elects to attend the meeting in person.

For those members living outside of the Nanaimo area, arrangements have been made for you to call in via conference call at the number listed below:

A document outlining all improvements and changes to the tentative agreement will be provided to each member on May 3rd, either at the meeting, or via email.

Finally, in order that no one is missed, ballots with a self-addressed stamp envelope will be sent to all members via mail. Ballots must be returned to BCGEU no later than 5pm, May 18, 2016. Members may also vote in person at the ratification meeting if they wish.

If by chance you do not receive a ballot by mail, please contact [email protected] and she will ensure that one is sent to you in a timely fashion. Ballots will be sent out Friday May 29th and should be in your possession sometime next week.
