The BCGEU is hosting two important Roundtable events in the coming months. 

If you are a worker who identifies as a person of colour^* or an Indigenous worker,^** and would like to participate in one of our upcoming Roundtable events, please complete the expression of interest below. 

Seats are limited for both events and we aim to have a diverse representation from across the province so please apply early. All applicants can opt-in to the union's equity email network so we can share with you directly the outcomes from the roundtable gatherings as well as future opportunities to make our union more inclusive.

* What do we mean by person of colour? :  The Ontario Human Rights Commission views race as a social construct and prefers the terms “racialized person” or “racialized group”. (Article on terminology concerning people of colour).

** What do we mean by Indigenous? Indigenous refers to the first inhabitants of Canada, and includes First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. (Article on terminology concerning Indigenous peoples)
