Thanks very much to all the members who were able to join us on May 13^th on the BCGEU motorhome, as we travelled to a number of BCHM worksites in the Lower Mainland.  It was a really great turnout!  We appreciated talking with so many members and getting your input for our bargaining preparation.

Bargaining with the Employer and the Union commenced on May 15^th in Burnaby.  There was first a full exchange of all the non-monetary proposals. The parties will now try to reach agreement on these non-monetary proposals before the monetary proposals are tabled.

Bargaining is scheduled to continue on June 5^th and 6^th.  Stay tuned for a further report after we meet again with the Employer.
