TENTATIVE RENEWAL COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT REACHED!
Your bargaining committee met with the Employer at the Labour Relations Board on Monday, September 25, 2017 and is pleased to advise you that we have reached a tentative agreement to bring back for you to vote on.
Highlights of the agreement include improvements to vision care, and vacation, scheduling language, harassment language and wages as well as clarification of the vacation entitlement language.
Full details of the agreement will be sent to each member via email and regular mail. If you do not receive a package within two weeks it means that we do not have either your personal email address or home mailing address. Please talk to one of your bargaining committee members to update your contact information and have a package sent to you. You can also update your information by logging on to the BCGEU website at https://my.bcgeu.ca/login, clicking "edit" in the box at the upper left of the screen and entering the correct information.
A ratification vote is being scheduled and will be held at the worksite to allow all employees to have an opportunity to vote on the tentative agreement. Notice of the date and time will be included with the ratification package and will also be posted at the worksite.
Your bargaining committee is unanimously recommending that you vote yes to accept the tentative collective agreement.
