Re: Bargaining Resumes/Update
Your Bargaining Committee resumed negotiations with your Employer on May 24th. Two days were spent in talks, and your committee is pleased to advise that progress has been made on a number of very important language proposals.
Both sides engaged in frank discussions on everything from how seniority will work in your new collective agreement, to health and safety language and casino scheduling provisions. Our members at Hard Rock have made it clear to us that that they want a collective agreement that promotes fairness, and in particular, worker safety. Although we did not come to agreement with the Employer, discussions were productive, and there was movement from both sides.
Bargaining is set to resume in late June. We will update you on those talks when they begin.
