Bargaining with your employer resumed in early December and what a round of talks it was! Let us fill you in.
Do you remember that post from your employer? The one that said the union was slow to respond to articles like scheduling and seniority. We have been talking with members and working on language on both those important topics. We have not only responded to those items, but we have also provided the employer with our entire monetary package. All our demands are on the table. Guess what? They complained! Now they want us to slow down. In fact, the employer has made it clear they are unavailable to bargain during the "casino black-out period" from now until after the new year.
We have agreed to resume bargaining in early January. With that said, we have also put the employer on notice that they had better respond to our monetary package with something meaningful and respectful. If they don't, then the union will have to consider next steps. Bargaining has gone on long enough. Stay tuned!
Finally, your Bargaining Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of your patience and support. It's very much appreciated.
Have a great holiday season, and all the best in the New Year!
