We are pleased to announce negotiations to renew your collective agreement started last week. Your Bargaining Committee will meet with BCSA representatives again in the New Year, on January 10th and 11th.
During bargaining the Union and your Bargaining Committee are your advocates for improvements to the collective agreement that benefit union members. Your Bargaining Committee will keep you up to date as bargaining continues. You may also see notices sent by the Employer. We expect the Employer will speak in its own best interest. This is both normal and appropriate.
If you have any questions about bargaining, or about any notices from the Employer, please speak with a union bargaining committee member directly. The Union Committee will provide bargaining updates under BCGEU letterhead, titled "News on Bargaining Bulletin".
As this process will take some time, your continued support is very important. Please do not hesitate to contact a committee member if you have questions
