This is an update on the status of bargaining between the BCGEU and BCFMA and notice of important worksite meetings.

The BCGEU bargaining committee and BCFMA met for two days of negotiations on Monday, November 4 and Friday, November 15, 2019. The parties identified numerous areas of agreement in principle on non-monetary proposals. The parties have not reached agreement on the most significant monetary matters.

The bargaining committee is holding important worksite meetings next week to provide fuller updates and seek further input from members. The committee strongly encourages all members to attend.

30 minutes of each meeting will come from members' lunch breaks and 90 minutes will be on employer-paid time. The meetings will end promptly at the stated times.
