BCGEU will support members in Ombudsperson investigation of Health Ministry firings

The BCGEU will provide assistance and access to legal counsel at the request of members who are called to interviews by Ombudsperson Jay Chalke as he investigates the Ministry of Health firings.

At the request of members who are called, BCGEU Staff Representative Cathy McCallum will work with members and seek to attend their interviews.

Your union has also retained lawyer Steve Rogers of Victory Square Law Office. He will be available to meet with members and assist with preparation for their interview with the Ombudsperson. He will also be available by telephone during the Ombudsperson’s interview should a member need to consult with counsel on any issue that arises.

If you have questions concerning representation during the Ombudsperson’s investigation contact Cathy McCallum by email [email protected] or by calling the BCGEU Victoria Area Office 250-388-9948.
