Yesterday your worksite Union representatives, along BCGEU president Stephanie Smith met with provincial Health Minister Adrian Dix. 

We discussed a number of issues with Minister Dix regarding BCGEU members working at the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital, including the number of serious injuries to our members, staffing levels, program closures, heavy workload, forensic pay and wage issues, particularly for frontline workers.

Minister Dix acknowledged the Union's concerns and respects the work our members do and their commitment to the patients.

We will continue to try and work with government on important issues to improve the working conditions of our members at the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital.
