Your bargaining committee met with employer representatives on June 13, 14 and 20, 2019.
 
On the first day of negotiations, the BCGEU tabled a modest set of non-monetary (language) proposals, after which the Employer tabled a significant non-monetary package of proposals, a number of which were offensive to the Union as they were initially presented.
 
Nevertheless, in good faith, the parties have embarked upon broader discussions, so that each side has a better understanding of the other's interests.
 
Please be assured that we will be steadfast in our resolve to negotiate in YOUR best interests.
 
Our next bargaining dates are scheduled for July 22 and 23, and August 26, 27, and 28.
 
In the meantime, please remember that your collective agreement remains in full force and effect until we reach a new agreement.
