Re: Sheriffs Sergeant Appeal Info Update


You may be aware that there is an appeal registered for the Sheriff Supervisors Grid 18. The Union requested members wishing to appeal, to send to the Union a separate appeal form. To date, many members have not responded. We will contact only those members that have appealed, via email, attaching a job description for their particular job and a list of questions. These must be completed and returned to BCGEU Headquarters by February 1, 2008.

We would appreciate that each group in the specific job description complete the questions and return to this office as noted below. Please choose one person in your particular group that you would like to represent you at the onsite meeting with the Union and the Public Service Agency. Please advise who the representative will be for your particular job description. It is imperative that you send back the completed questionnaire as PSA requires them before commencing the process. Although you may work in different areas of the province, the assigned job descriptions are almost identical with few differences.

The meetings will start in February and hopefully be completed by the middle of March. Most of the meetings will be held at BCGEU Headquarters (Burnaby).
