• Nominations are now open for the following Local Executive positions:

District III Vice Chair (Surrey Pretrial Services Centre)

District III Member-at-Large (Surrey Pretrial Services Centre)

The BCGEU Nomination form (attached) must be used and should be submitted at this meeting. If you are unable to attend, the form may also be submitted to the Fraser Valley Area Office no later than 5:00 pm, Monday, January 7, 2013 via fax (604-882-5032 or toll free 1-800-946-0249), via email to [email protected] or handed in personally. In an effort to use less paper and be more earth friendly, only one nomination form is attached to this notice. Please make any necessary copies and ensure you clearly mark which position you are being nominated for. Nominations will also be taken off the floor at the meeting. Nominations will be confirmed at this meeting and all nominees are encouraged to attend to accept their nomination. You must also be a member in good standing to accept your nomination. If unable to attend, written acceptance must be received at the Area Office by 5:00 pm, Monday, January 7, 2013. If more than one nomination is received for a position, an election will be conducted. Candidates have the right to submit a biography/campaign platform (not to exceed 250 words total) which will be distributed at the meeting.
