Thanks for checking out the new BCGEU web site. After consulting with members, activists and staff in the past year, we have re-organized the site to make information more accessible for union members and the public.

The new colour scheme and formatting is designed to make the site easier to read and share information on social media.

Here is a list of some new features on the re-designed site:

• Easier Navigation – a clean layout and simpler menu structure. We’ve changed the colour scheme and added a modern font.
• Find your Component – locate your component, collective agreement and pension info by choosing a sector and entering your employer. Then bookmark your component page.
• Grievances tab – easy-to-find information for members who are experiencing problems at work.
• Stewards tab – providing job stewards easy access to information, with a common link at the top of the page.
• Photos – It’s now easier to embed photos. Plus, each component now has a photo gallery accessed through Flickr, with the ability to download higher quality photos.
• Events – now colour-coded, events can be filtered for quick search, and accessed both in list and calendar format.
• Component pages –now structured with 3 tabs featuring Bargaining News, Component News and Media Coverage. Also access to resources, Flikr photo gallery and more.
• New Members – a new section added to home page, with information for new BCGEU members.
• Join Our Union – prominent button on top of page, with links to the BCGEU organization department.
• No Login needed – All the information on the new site is publicly accessible. By adding the 'Find Your Component' feature and RSS feed, we've eliminated the need for a separate member login.
