Expanded eligibility in South Okanagan for recruitment/retention incentive
Recently the B.C. Ministry of Health reviewed the Provincial Recruitment and Retention Incentive (PRRI) eligible communities and have expanded the scope to include the South Okanagan. This includes Oliver, Osoyoos, and Okanagan Falls and would apply to workers covered under the Community Bargaining Association (CBA), Facilities Bargaining Association (FBA), Health Science Professionals Bargaining Association (HSPBA) and the Nurses' Bargaining Association (NBA).
The BCGEU continues to advocate for workers in communities not covered by the program, including the East Kootenays.
If you have questions about whether this applies to you, please contact your Human Resources Department.
In solidarity,
Mahen Ramdharry, BCGEU vice-president Health Services (Component 4)
Scott De Long, BCGEU vice-president Community Health Services (Component 8)
