Re:     Bargaining Update #2

Your bargaining committee met with the Employer on January 9, 10, 11 & 12, 2017 to exchange proposals and begin the bargaining process.  The committee experienced a delay in the early stages due to Employer demands in regards to the bargaining format, however once the bargaining commenced, the committee made great progress and will meet with the Employer again on February 14 & 15, 2017.

Your committee is diligently bargaining with the Employer on behalf of the membership to improve the terms and conditions of employment within the Cariboo Regional District.

We hope to make further progress during the February bargaining dates and will update you after the next meeting with the Employer.
