This week a communique from the Public Service Pension Plan (PSPP) was issued with regard to a plan rule change as of June 24, 2014. This rule change affects BCGEU members who have worked in both a public safety role (Corrections) and in a general services role and who have pensionable service in both. At issue was the loss of the Normal Retirement Age 60 (NRA60) rule for Corrections' members who move to a general service position prior to retirement.
