Hours of work week and classification appeals update - BCGEU

Prior to the last round of Master Bargaining the BCGEU Component 1 executive and B.C. Corrections formed a joint union/management committee to look at increasing the work week hours from the current 35 hours to 37.5, 40 or somewhere in between.

As part of an effort to reduce it’s environmental footprint, the BC government has initiated changes to the distribution of Long Term Disability (LTD) application forms. In place of the previous practice, which automatically mailed forms to members, the employer is now making the forms available in electronic PDF form online:
