Sixty BCGEU Component 1 executive and shop steward delegates from around the province in Adult Corrections, Youth Corrections  and Sheriff Services met April 6 and 7 in Victoria to discuss a number of key issues and hear from guest speakers on a number of matters.

Following a discussion at the Article 3.1 meeting, Component chair Dean Purdy and Mike Scott, Component Recording Secretary, met with Corrections Branch staff responsible for the gathering of statistics and information on violent incidents in provincial jails.
