The BCGEU continues to plan for a full re-opening of all its offices beginning Monday, March 28, 2022. Members will be able to access the offices without an appointment but will be subject to BCGEU Safety Protocols which currently include providing proof of full vaccination (your QR code will need to be scanned) and wearing a mask in all common areas of the office (hallways, washrooms, lunchrooms, meeting rooms, etc.).
COMPONENT 12 - ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES
Component 12 includes members who work for the B.C. Government and non-government employers providing front-line administrative and support services.
They work in a variety of classifications and positions: administrative officer, clerk, postal clerk, clerk stenographer, coordinator of volunteers, court clerk, financial officer, health unit aide, medical records librarian and technician, office assistant, data processing operator, radio, teletype and switchboard operators, stationery clerk and stockworker.
The Just Film Festival features social justice and environmental documentaries that go to the heart of issues confronting communities here and around the planet. The focus of the festival is to motivate audiences to action by spotlighting issues both local and global. It will also include a Social Justice Bazaar, on Saturday February 13th.

The B.C. Government and Service Employees’ Union (BCGEU) is speaking out against a fee increase to rental tenants seeking a dispute resolution through the Residential Tenancy Branch (RTB).
The new fee took effect on Jan. 1.
A renter filing a dispute resolution application with the RTB will now have to pay $100. That’s up from $50. An appeal review will now cost $50, up from $25.
