LifeLabs’ offer is not good enough - BC General Employees' Union (BCGEU)

The pressure is working. LifeLabs is resorting to desperate tactics to try to divide us. Instead of inviting us back to the table with a better offer, LifeLabs is using a common employer tactic trying to bargain through bulletins hoping that we will accept less. We're not falling for it, and we know you aren't either. There is too much at stake. The general wage increase that LifeLabs is offerin...

Lifelabs - Mirror, Mirror on the Wall.... - BC General Employees' Union (BCGEU)

Who's the biggest hypocrite of them all? Unfortunately, our employer. While we fight for a fair deal, Quest is trying to save as much money for the company's investors as possible at a cost to frontline patient care. Yet, they had the gall to suggest to a whole room of workers in Microbiology, Molecular and Urinalysis that our members don't care about patients!  Here's what happened: On March 3...

LifeLabs - 1 month strike-iversary - BC General Employees' Union (BCGEU)

It's officially been four weeks since we hit the pavement, making this the longest job action we've ever executed. You should be proud: LifeLabs and its mega parent company south of the border expected a flash in the pan. Instead, you rose up to look the cyclops in the eye and seared a hole in its star-spangled vision.  Humbling a company of Quest's proportions by lowering it's worth in the cou...
