As you are aware the unions were invited by the provincial government to the table for early contract discussions. The Community Social Services Bargaining Association (CSSBA) committee finalized the unions' priorities and proposals and initiated talks with the Community Social Services Employers Association (CSSEA) bargaining committee on May 16, 2018.
 
The parties have concluded a protocol agreement and have begun exchanging proposals across the table and engaging in discussions.
 
The CSSBA is committed to bargain the mandate put forward by their membership.
