CSSBA and CSSEA prepare to bargain through the weekend - BCGEU

The Community Social Services Bargaining Association (CSSBA) continues to negotiate with the Community Social Services Employers' Association (CSSEA) on non-monetary proposals. Both parties have agreed to increase their negotiating days and are therefore preparing to work through the weekend towards an agreement.

The CSSBA continues to seek collective agreement improvements while finding ways to improve the services we provide to B.C.'s most vulnerable people.

"As B.C.'s caring professionals, we are deeply committed to the vulnerable British Columbians we support each day and are dedicated to making sure they have access to quality services when and where they need them," says Andrea Duncan, BCGEU, Chair of the negotiating committee. "At the same time, we need and deserve recognition and fair compensation for the work we do to help people thrive, and for the value we bring to each community in this province."

"Every day our members go to work and do their best – often under difficult conditions," says David Huespe, HEU bargaining committee member. "They are committed to giving people the support they need to be full, participating citizens in their communities."
