Following the close of nominations on May 17, 2019, there was one nominee for each of the two available positions on the expanded bargaining committee. The following members have therefore been declared elected by acclamation:

· Best Western Plus Burnaby Hotel: Kulbir (Kelly) Biln
· The Crest Hotel: Daniel Colussi

Kelly and Daniel join Aruna Singh (Best Western) and Nick Salyn (Crest) on the committee.

The bargaining committee will meet in the next few weeks to finalize its non-monetary proposals. The committee will also set dates with Hospitality Industrial Relations and the employers to commence bargaining this summer. Time permitting, the bargaining committee will hold membership meetings at each worksite before bargaining begins.
