Memorandum of Understanding #1 of your collective agreement says that effective July 15th, 2019, employees in the bargaining unit will have the option of continuing to contribute to the Employer's RRSP or making future contributions to the BC Target Benefit Pension Plan.
The Union recently mailed out an information package about the BC Target Benefit Pension Plan to members who are enrolled in the Employer's RRSP.
The information package includes a cover letter, Plan Summary, Enrolment Form and Waiver of Participation Form. The package also includes a postage-paid return envelope members will use to send their Enrolment or Waiver of Participation Form to the Union.
Members now contributing to the Employer's RRSP will be enrolled in the BC Target Benefit Pension Plan unless they sign a Waiver of Participation Form and return it to the Union by July 15th, 2019.

The BCGEU will hold information sessions about the BC Target Benefit Pension Plan at the worksite in the coming weeks. Dates and times for these sessions will be posted when available.
