HCN-Revera-Lessee (Whitecliff) - Bargaining committee election - BCGEU

The BCGEU would like to thank those members who submitted their names or a nomination form for the Bargaining Committee Chair position (one) or the Bargaining Committee Member position (two). The nominations are now closed.

The Union received one nomination for the Bargaining Chair position and three nominations for the two Bargaining Committee Member positions. As such, the Bargaining Committee Chair position has been acclaimed by Anthony Jillings, and an election will be held to determine who will fill the two Bargaining Committee Member positions. The three nominated candidates are:

  • Karen Prosther
  • Bonnie Swanson
  • Roseanne Parsons

In order to ensure all members may participate in the selection of their Bargaining Committee Members, the Union will be holding a mail out vote.

In addition to the ballot, you will also receive a bargaining survey, which you may fill out and return to the Union with your ballot using the postage provided. This survey will be used by your Bargaining Committee to determine bargaining priorities for the upcoming negotiations with your Employer.

Instructions on how to complete the ballot and the bargaining survey will be available with your ballot. Your ballot must be received no later than Wednesday, September 11, 2019.

All members in good standing within the bargaining unit are eligible to vote and will be mailed ballots. If you are a member in good standing and do not receive a ballot, please contact BCGEU Negotiations Department immediately at (604) 291-9611.

To help ensure you receive a ballot and bargaining updates, please update your personal information such as home address and email address on the following BCGEU website: http://www.bcgeu.ca/update. If we already have an email address on file for you or you wish to edit or update any of your existing contact information, you can use the same form.

Thank you for your participation in this important election.

In solidarity,

Katie Smith
Staff Representative - Negotiations
